Waiting for the Perfect Time

You’re waiting:

  • Til you catch up on all your household chores like laundry and cleaning “I’ll start next week when I’m caught up”
  • Til you find a good job and can afford it “once I get a job, I’ll get a personal trainer/start eating healthy”
  • Til the kids get a little older “I’m too tired” “there’s not enough time”
  • Til the semester is over “I need to study”
  • Til after my party “no reason to eat healthy if I’m just gonna splurge this weekend. I’ll start Monday”
  • Til January “I’ll just enjoy myself through thanksgiving and Christmas and start January 1st. I haven’t worked out in months, what’s a few more weeks”

How many of these excuses have you used?

Being healthy doesn’t have to consume your life. It doesn’t have to take more than a few minutes a day. It is so easy to get distracted and keep saying “tomorrow” when all that matters is now. Tomorrow doesn’t even exist until it gets here! And at that point, it’s not tomorrow anymore – it’s now! Do it now.

Know these two things:

  • It is simple, but it is not easy.
  • If it was easy, everyone would do it!One of my favorite affirmations that I’ve used to reach a goal:

3 months from now, I’ll be glad I started today.

Whatever you do, start NOW!
