PHYSICAL ACTIVITY GUIDELINES FOR CHILDREN: 60 minutes of exercise every day- making sure you and your child are breathing harder than normal.

Here are a few ideas the entire family can do to add a more activity during family time.

  • Picnic in the park – pack a lunch and spend a day outside walking and playingfamily playing
  • Go on family walks or hiking
  • Instead of seeing movies together go to the zoo or other activities requiring movement
  • Go to the playground as a family
  • Family Olympic Games – choose a handful of activities and compete against one another
  • Cook a healthy dinner together
