PHYSICAL ACTIVITY GUIDELINES FOR CHILDREN: 60 minutes of exercise every day- making sure you and your child are breathing harder than normal.
Here are a few ideas the entire family can do to add a more activity during family time.
- Picnic in the park – pack a lunch and spend a day outside walking and playing
- Go on family walks or hiking
- Instead of seeing movies together go to the zoo or other activities requiring movement
- Go to the playground as a family
- Family Olympic Games – choose a handful of activities and compete against one another
- Cook a healthy dinner together
